I preview new and/or more complicated moves at the beginning of every class, and the On-Demand sections include Form & Technique videos for both formats, going over signature moves and common combos.

I also am a huge fan of modifications–you never have to jump if you don’t want to, and you are more than welcome to change anything you need to fit your body and style!

LOVE OF BURPEES NOT REQUIRED TO DO PIYO!

If you’re not already in the know, here’s what PiYo is:

  • A low impact, but high intensity workout that pulls moves from yoga and Pilates and is choreographed to music
  • Yoga for hyper people, aka people who need and love the benefits of yoga but would rather break a sweat. You’re still gonna do an insane amount of squats and lunges and an occasional burpee in the middle of all of this.
  • Totally able to be modified. I show as many options as I can, and you are encouraged to listen to your body. If there’s a move that doesn’t agree with you, change it or take it out completely.
  • One of the most fun workout formats you’ll ever do!

Here’s what PiYo is NOT:

  • Traditional yoga or Pilates in any sense of the word
  • Your mama’s yoga class
  • Meditation or a spiritual practice

All you need is a mat, a water bottle, and a good attitude!

Here’s what Turbo Kick/SPIKED is NOT:

  • Hitting a bag or another person
  • A self-defense class
  • Boring ๐Ÿ˜‰

All you need is a good pair of shoes, a water bottle, and a good attitude!

About your instructor, Kerri:

I’ve been a certified group exercise instructor since 2009, and a certified personal trainer since 2015. I’ve been certified in multiple specialty formats over the years, including: PiYo, Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, Insanity, Les Mills GRIT, and Les Mills BODYPUMP. I’ve also taught various general formats like boot camps, on-the-bag kickboxing, and cardio/strength interval classes.

I’m a Reiki Master, and I LOVE helping people heal and find clarity through energy work! (Book a session here, or join my FB group to get access to occasional group sessions!)

I’m a musician (singing is my forte, but I play a couple instruments at an okay level lol), and I used to take fusion/hip hop style dance classes, so any workout that’s choreographed to music is my JAM! (Pun totally intended.)

I love fitness, I love empowering others to feel good about themselves and to be happy and positive, and I love performing. So get ready for bad jokes, movie quotes galore, random dancing, and lots of laughter. I can’t wait to have you in class!!
